The Correct Way To Use Bronzer
How many times have you noticed someone walking in the street, all dressed up, with great shoes and hair, but her face looks a little dirty and out of place? Well, we sure have – and it’s not because they didn’t wash their face. It’s actually because they are applying their bronzer in all the wrong ways – and end up creating a less flattering look than they were aiming for. But fear not, ladies; we’re here to make sure you always look your best Here are some tips on the right way to apply your bronzer.
The Formula
The first thing you need to do is make sure that the bronzer formula you’re using is suitable for your skin type. For example, if you have oily skin, make sure that the packaging your bronzer came in tells you that it’s suitable for oily skin. You don’t want to end up looking even oilier because of your bronzer!
The Shade
Make sure that the shade you pick is suitable for your skin tone. If you go too dark, you won’t have that natural contoured look. You’ll end up looking crusty and dirty, and you don’t want that!
The tools
It’s important to know that you can’t contour with your fingers. There are fluffy makeup brushes and even sponges designed just for this, so take those fingers off your face and wrap them around the proper tool!
The Application
There are limitless YouTube videos that can teach you some really glorious ways to apply your bronzer, but here are some key tips. First, never apply using a back-and-forth up and down motion. When you apply, please apply to your cheekbones, gently apply the bronzer from your ear to the apple of your cheek, and then gently blend it using small circular brush strokes. Sweep a little bit of bronzer down each side of your nose, too.
